Quick Overview

In the pages that follow, I will show you how I got to where I am in the gun control debate. I will tell you where black people have been and give you the tools necessary to make your own educated choices. Guns are, and have been, the subject of debate since the invention of gunpowder. Whoever controls them has the power. The debate is older than you and me. It has and continues to get politicians elected and removed from office. It is the subject of law and maintains the caste system. Gun control enslaves and it kills.

My birth certificate says that I am "colored." I went through school as a "Negro" and somewhere in the late sixties I became "black." I have always been an American of African descent. I will use these terms interchangeably throughout the book, so get over it. I'm just letting you know up front. I am a former federal law enforcement officer, a professional speaker, and firearms trainer. I am the founder of the Tenth Cavalry Gun Club. I believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ and consider myself a family man. I have worked around the country to promote safe and responsible firearms ownership. I assisted in passing concealed carry reform in Virginia, Texas, and South Carolina. I have lobbied the U.S. Congress, Michigan, and Maryland State senators on bills designed to prevent African Americans from legal firearms ownership. I am the Black Man with a Gun.
