My birth certificate says that I am "colored." I went through school as a "Negro" and somewhere in the late sixties I became "black." I have always been an American of African descent. I will use these terms interchangeably throughout the book, so get over it. I'm just letting you know up front. I am a former federal law enforcement officer, a professional speaker, and firearms trainer. I am the founder of the Tenth Cavalry Gun Club. I believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ and consider myself a family man. I have worked around the country to promote safe and responsible firearms ownership. I assisted in passing concealed carry reform in Virginia, Texas, and South Carolina. I have lobbied the U.S. Congress, Michigan, and Maryland State senators on bills designed to prevent African Americans from legal firearms ownership. I am the Black Man with a Gun.
